WHAT COULD WE CELEBRATE ON OUR 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
We can celebrate 250 years of independence as a nation, but have we upheld and honored the Declaration of Independence’s claim “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?” Clearly, we have not! But what we can celebrate is that we have continued to do better, be better and improve our nation. Except for the last two years! We have been going backwards.
