Things are quiet here. Don’t hear about much crime, and don’t know about any in our part of the city. No federalized National Guard walking around doing nothing. Starting in Los Angeles activation of the National Guard has been a prime example of waste and inefficiency! ICE continues to ignore the illegal immigrant felons arresting workers and American citizens and then deporting them without the required constitutional due process or even trying to determine whether they are in the United States legally.
Recently members of the West Virginia National Guard were shot in Washington DC. They were needlessly and uselessly put in danger by our renegade president. They were shot by an Afghan immigrant who is allowed into this country because he supported and aided us in our war against Taliban. He is a single individual and this is the only attack so of course Trump declared that all Afghans are criminals, should be deported, and is blocked the integration of people from many countries including Afghanistan. Republicans and their president consistently engage in group blame and call for group punishment because of the acts of single individuals. This is completely immoral and in no way conservative.
His calling up the National Guard is illegal, waste and inefficient, as is his refusing to implement the budgets that were passed, are law and must be implemented. Refusing to implement it is illegal. His threats to execute people are immoral, evil and childish. I hope that the Supreme Court will not continue to cave in to Trump as they have been doing. The six Republicans on the Supreme Court have insured that is no longer the third branch of government but just another department of the authoritarian Trump administration.
American Murders
The U.S. military is murdering people on the high seas is that the Navy or the Air Force? I hope that their JAG officers, military attorneys, have told pilots of planes and drones, anyone who targets or fires missiles, and everyone in the chain of command up to and including Secretary Hegseth that they are violating The Law the Seas and committing murder committing murder when they blow up boats that are not threatening anyone. Ships and boats on the high seas can only be attacked or sunk when they belong to a nation or belligerent at war with us or that threaten other ships or boats with violence These boats and the people in them are not at war with United States in spite of what President Trump imagines and threaten no one with violence.
I sincerely hope that when any of these officers visit another country that recognizes that under international law they can be arrested, tried and if convicted for these crimes sentenced to prison for a long, long time! It is important to remember that no one can be sentenced to death in the United States for any crime involving drugs. Neither transporting drugs, selling drugs, nor using drugs is a capital offense under either state or federal law. President Trump is a murderer! And so is every officer who has passed on the orders to murder these people. Of course, the six Republicans on the Supreme Court have given Trump immunity for murder but none of those who follow his orders.
I am losing faith in our military will honor their oaths, defend the Constitution, or protect our Democracy! I am not aware that anyone working in for our news media has requested JAG officer’ s opinions on the orders to sink supposed drug boats. If they are classified it would be prima facie evidence that they have said that the sinkings are illegal.
Several Democrat Congress members reminded members of our military about their responsibility not to follow illegal orders. “President” Trump said that they should be executed for sedition! He seems to be fully ready to take advantage of his almost unlimited and unconstitutional immunity from the commission of crimes. In my opinion, the Supreme Court justices who wrote and concurred in the immunity opinion should be impeached or have their license to practice law revoked!
Right to Life
The Republicans closed down the government because they do not want Americans to have health insurance and access to healthcare. Eight Democrats folded and reopened the government because they know that Republicans will never support providing health insurance/healthcare to all Americans. There are right now at least 25 million Americans who do not have health insurance including children. Republicans want to add another 20-30 million so that we will have almost 50 million Americans without health insurance. It will be almost 15% of our citizens. The United States is still one of only eight nations in the world that don’t provide all of its citizens with health insurance or full access to healthcare. All the other developed, rich nations do! I think I’ve said it before, but I believe that makes the United States the stingiest country with the stingiest people in the world!
We have even stopped giving food to starving people in other nations, medicines to prevent and cure diseases, and nurses to identify those in need and provide medicine and care. In Lesotho and Eswatini, we no longer provide medicine to prevent fetuses from getting HIV from their mothers who got it from their husbands. 1Babies are now being born with HIV and will die, but we don’t care. Clearly Republicans don’t actually care about fetuses; they are just against abortion because it is politically advantageous. If they did, they would require the reestablishment of all of our aid programs!
