A letter from me published by the Columbus Dispatch January 11, 2026
All this talk about taking Greenland from Denmark must stop! We are no longer the leader of the free world, but we still should not attack our allies. And any Republican in Congress who does 
not speak up now to stop this talk about starting a war to take Greenland must be thrown out of office this year or as soon as possible. We must not go to war against Denmark with or without congressional approval.
If any military action is taken to conquer Greenland, President Trump must be immediately impeached and convicted. So must secretaries Hegseth and Rubio. Any and all officers involved in any military action in Greenland from the Joint Chiefs of Staff down to the second lieutenants and ensigns must be court-martialed, convicted and imprisoned.
We have abandoned starving children and families and fetuses who contract HIV that could be completely prevented. We must not tolerate our abandonment of the needy and the continuing calls for war and murder on the high seas by President Trump, nor the lack of any moral or legal response from Republicans in Congress. No one who wants America to be great again should vote for any Republicans in this year’s election. The only way Republican elected officials will learn that they must stand up to lawlessness and greed is to be voted out of all offices national and state. That must happen this year!
